On February 20th, members of the Los Angeles community gathered to celebrate the launch of the IS L.A. gallery at Andaz West Hollywood. The mixed media collection by Pete Kasprzak draws inspiration from the city’s rich music history and iconic imagery.
One of the standout pieces, Whisky, captures the fast-paced energy of Los Angeles through motion streaks, blending digital photography with painting.

Other works spotlight LA’s legendary landmarks, including Mel’s Diner and the Hollywood Sign, showcased in Kasprzak’s aptly titled piece, Hollywood.

The gallery opening also served as a tribute to the city’s resilience in the face of recent wildfires. A special artwork, Stay Safe Los Angeles, was put up for auction, with all proceeds benefiting fire relief efforts.

In addition, a special cocktail called A Sip for a Cause was offered, with its proceeds also supporting fire relief efforts. This added to the monetary support the hotel has already committed to these charities.
The evening was a celebration of the dynamic urvan culture that inspired much of Kasprzak’s work. The gallery will remain open on the Mezzanine Level of Andaz West Hollywood through March 2025. Known for its rich history as a rock ‘n’ roll hangout, the hotel continues to support the arts by hosting a rotating art gallery each quarter. 8401 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069; 323.656.1234
