On Monday, 11/18, Hollywood’s brightest stars illuminated the stunning Dante Rooftop Bar at The Maybourne Beverly Hills for Los Angeles Magazine‘s The Leading Man Party. The exclusive soirée celebrated the November Movie issue that kicks off awards season, and honors notable men who help shape modern Hollywood. Honorees included the magazine’s three cover stars — Colman Domingo, Sebastian Stan, and John David Washington — The Lead Actors, the Men of Merit, plus the exceptional talent both in front of and behind the camera featured in the issue. The luxury hotel’s rooftop venue, with its panoramic views of the Beverly Hills skyline, provided the perfect backdrop for what will undoubtedly be remembered as one of LA’s most memorable industry gatherings of 2024.
The star-studded evening unfolded around the rooftop’s iconic pool, where industry powerhouse/legendary musician Kenneth “BabyFace” Edmonds, and actors like Annabelle Wallis, Kim Dickens, and Robert Ri’chard mingled under the Beverly Hills stars.
Guest sipped carefully crafted cocktails from Ardray Blended Scotch Whisky, El Cristiano Premium Tequila, Golden Eagle Vodka, and Miraval Cotes de Provence rose and dined on delicious hors d’oeuvres while special guest DJ MOS provided the evening’s soundtrack.
The highlight of the evening was when Los Angeles Magazine Editor Jasmin Rosemberg delivered a compelling speech highlighting the extraordinary achievements of the three cover stars, each of whom has made significant contributions to cinema this year. The presence of these acclaimed actors – Domingo, fresh from his Oscar-worthy performance in Rustin, Stan, after his transformation to Donald Trump in The Apprentice, and Washington, whose powerful screen presence in The Piano Lesson has established him as one of Hollywood’s most magnetic talents – elevated the evening to a true celebration of cinematic excellence. These leading men represent the best of contemporary Hollywood – artists who not only entertain but provoke thought, challenge perspectives, and create meaningful dialogue through their craft.
The Leading Man Party was more than just a diverse mix of Hollywood talent, industry executives, and media personalities. It was a testament to ongoing artistic evolution and the bright future of cinema.
