No Rose at Kimpton La Peer Hotel is West Hollywood’s Sexiest New Cocktail Destination

West Hollywood just got a whole lot more intoxicating. Kimpton La Peer Hotel has unveiled No Rose, an upscale bar and social hub that’s redefining what a lobby bar can be in the heart of LA’s most vibrant neighborhood. Located at the crossroads of West Hollywood’s iconic Design District and North Melrose, this stunning venue seamlessly blends sophistication with that irresistible edge that makes WeHo so magnetic – and it’s quickly becoming one of the best things to do in Los Angeles for cocktail enthusiasts and nightlife lovers alike. A Space That Transforms

What makes No Rose truly special is its chameleon-like ability to evolve throughout the day and night. By day, it channels the charm of a classic hotel lobby bar where you can catch up over coffee or settle in with your laptop. But as evening approaches, the space transforms into a chic cocktail lounge and late-night hot spot that pulses with energy. The soundtrack shifts from gentle background ambiance to curated DJ sets that set the perfect tone for a night out in Los Angeles’ most exciting neighborhood.

The design, courtesy of Atelier Gulla Jónsdóttir, is nothing short of breathtaking. Inspired by the effortless edge of Debbie Harry, the space features a whiskey-toned color palette layered with warmth, intimacy, and subtle rock-and-roll glamour. It’s grittier and bolder than your typical hotel bar, yet still inviting and comfortable. And here’s the best part – No Rose features both indoor and outdoor seating, making it an incredibly sexy destination whether you’re cozied up inside or enjoying the California air on the patio.

Cocktails Worth Traveling For

Leading the bar program is award-winning mixologist Naomi Schimek, who brings 30 years of hospitality experience from renowned venues like The Spare Room at Hollywood Roosevelt and Written Hand at The Everly Hotel. Her seasonally rotating cocktail menu balances timeless technique with Hollywood flair, featuring standouts like The Sunshine Pop (an agave-driven refresher with pineapple, sage, and lemon), Fanny Flutters (champagne, guava, lemon, and butterfly pea flower), and Starwood (a nod to WeHo’s rock-and-roll spirit with bourbon, apple brandy, and maraschino).

Bites That Steal the Show

While you might come for the cocktails, you’ll stay for Executive Chef Charbel Hayek’s elevated menu. The acclaimed chef behind Ladyhawk, the hotel’s signature restaurant, has created small plates designed for snacking and sharing, showcasing multi-cultural flavors with Eastern Mediterranean influence. Our absolute favorites? The Caesar Salad was perfectly balanced, but the Onion Rings were genuinely some of the best I’ve tasted in Los Angeles – crispy, perfectly seasoned, and utterly addictive. The crab cakes were equally impressive, arriving golden and packed with flavor. The menu also features gems like the Mezze Trio, Beef Bao Buns with spicy XO sauce, and a Hot Honey Chicken Sando that hits all the right notes.

The Entertainment Factor

No Rose keeps the energy high with recurring DJ programming Thursdays, 6 – 8:00 pm and Fridays – Sundays, 7 – 10:00 pm, featuring well-known and up-and-coming local talent.

Whether you’re a Kimpton La Peer guest, awaiting your Ladyhawk reservation, or simply searching for your new local haunt, No Rose is the kind of destination where you’ll want to linger. It’s officially earned its spot on my list of things to do in Los Angeles, especially if you’re looking for that perfect blend of craft cocktails, elevated bites, and an atmosphere that’s equal parts sophisticated and sexy. Walk-ins are encouraged, or book ahead on OpenTable at www.norosebar.com.
