El Cristiano proudly announces the debut of its Additive-Free Mezcal, a tribute to Oaxacan tradition and craftsmanship. Hand made in the same style of over a 100 years, in the village of San Luis del Río, this artisanal spirit begins with Espadín agave, cultivated for over five years in the highlands of Oaxaca and only harvested when mature. The agave is slow-roasted in wood-fired earthen pits, naturally fermented with wild yeast in pinewood tanks, and double-distilled in copper pot stills—resulting in a Mezcal that is complex in taste, combining the sweetness of ripe Espadin with the green and vegetal flavors derived from the terrier of the town of San luis del Rio, 3000 feet above sea level and right next to Rio Grande; the water from which is used distil it, and the smoky flavor associated with Mezcal.
The event drew a vibrant crowd of VIPs, influencers and prominent industry representatives. Guests enjoyed an immersive experience exploring El Cristiano’s Mezcal at the tasting bar, while savoring a curated selection of signature Mezcal cocktails, such as their take on a Mezcalita.
The tequila bar highlighted the El Cristiano Margarita Diablo and the El Cristiano Paloma crafted with El Cristiano Silver Tequila. In addition to these highlights, attendees were treated to tastings of El Cristiano’s award winning premium portfolio, featuring their signature, smooth Reposado, buttery rich XR Extra Reposado, the Aged Añejo Black Label, and limited pours of the exclusive new Ocho, 8 Años expression.
Featured DJ performances included Sebastian Topete, Pookie, and Michelangelo Falcon, with the evening highlighted by a special fire-eating act throughout the night.
