Momed in Atwater Village is turning ten this September, and to celebrate a decade of culinary excellence, Owner Alex Sarkissian and Chef Vartan Abgaryan are bringing back the beloved “Immigrant Chef Series.” This special event, kicking off today, will feature four extraordinary Monday night dinners, each showcasing the talents of renowned Los Angeles chefs with rich immigrant backgrounds. Each Monday throughout the month, guests can indulge in a unique Seven-Course Tasting Menu served family-style, featuring dishes crafted in collaboration with Chef Abgaryan. 10/10 Burger, the popular smash burger brand co-founded by entertainment industry vets Mike Majlak (best-selling author, Instagram personality and podcast host) and Jeff Levin (entrepreneur and talent manager), announced expansion to Los Angeles with the launch of the concept’s new mobile 10/10 Burger Truck. An avid foodie and pop-culture enthusiast, Majlak has travelled the globe in search of the world’s best burger. Taking cues from his travels, he and Levin have assembled a star team focused on creating the world’s best smash burger and incorporating the highest of quality ingredients. The new 10/10 Burger mobile burger truck will be hitting the streets of Los Angeles, bringing the brand’s signature smash burgers to a new audience. The truck will be making stops at various locations throughout the city, including the Cool Kicks store on Melrose Blvd. through 9/155, and a residency at the Smorgasburg Los Angeles open food market, every Sunday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. On Sale Now (10/5): Restaurants Rally For L.A. Loves Alex’s Kids Campaign

Los Angeles area kids are gearing up to hold lemonade stands all over the city this summer to raise money to help fight pediatric cancer (L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Kids’ Campaign has raised over $300,000 in the last four years). These kids are following the example of Alex Scott, a young girl who raised more than a million dollars to help other kids who suffer from the disease that took her life at age eight, pediatric cancer.

Alex Lentz, daughter of renowned chefs Suzanne Goin and David Lentz, grew up attending the annual culinary cookout with her family. In recent years, she followed in her parents’ footsteps in a big way by chairing the local Kids Campaign. To further her fundraising efforts, the high school senior partnered with local restaurants to donate $1 from the sales of one of their most popular food and drink items to benefit the Kids Campaign.
