In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, female founded small business, Once Upon a Cocktail threw a colorful bash honoring women and their first incredible cocktail recipe book, Once Upon a Cocktail – West Hollywood. The recipe book features cocktails from a vibrant collection of West Hollywood bars, restaurants, hotels, influential hot spots, culinary treats, and supper clubs. We raised a glass to female entrepreneurs, mingled with fellow creative minds, and sipped on delicious cocktails.

Held at West Hollywood hotspot Soulmate on March 8th, the International Women’s Day event offered a chance to immerse ourselves in the world of Once Upon a Cocktail, a cocktail recipe book series from imagineer & illustrator Kate Brightside and cocktail curator Sarah L.M. Mengoni. The first book in the series, Once Upon a Cocktail – West Hollywood features over 850 illustrations and highlights 54 of the most treasured venues from across The Creative City.
We were welcomed with the refreshing “The Daisy” cocktail, courtesy of Rémy Cointreau, the perfect drink to kick off the evening and celebrate female-founded success. The highlight? Meeting the powerhouse duo behind the book: Katie Brightside, whose stunning illustrations bring the spirit of West Hollywood’s cocktail scene to life, and Sarah L.M. Mengoni, the cocktail curator who has meticulously compiled a collection of signature drinks from iconic West Hollywood bars, restaurants, hotels, influential hot spots, culinary treats, and supper clubs.
