The 7th annual Los Angeles Times Food Bowl Night Market presented by City National Bank was a delicious success! For three days, the backlot of Paramount Pictures was transformed into a lavish night market with mouthwatering food, craft cocktails, cooking demos, and more.
Day One: “Fiesta Friday“
The Los Angeles Times Food Bowl Night Market kicked off on Friday, September 22, 2023 with “Fiesta Friday.” The opening night focused on the all-inclusive celebration of L.A.’s Latin American flavors featuring restaurants, cocktails, and more from Mexico, the Caribbean and beyond. The evening also included live demonstrations on the L.A. Times Food Stage from Bricia Lopez, author, co-owner of Guelaguetza, and Danny Trejo, actor, activist, and restaurateur.
Day Two: “Saturday Night Flavor”
“Saturday Night Flavor” transported guests around the world with a diverse range of global cuisine and live demonstrations from Aarti Sequeira, cooking show host, cookbook author, journalist, television producer, and food personality, Chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn, chef/owner of Le Du, Thailand, (brought to you by Singapore Airlines), Justin Pichetrungsi, chef/owner, Anajak Thai, Ahmad Alzahabi a.k.a. “The Golden Balance”, and Nick DiGiovanni “Knife Drop.”
Day Three: “Backlot Brunch“
Day three featured a Sunday “Backlot Brunch,” complete with BBQ, burgers, pizzas, and more! Guests were treated to cooking demos from Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster, Hav & Mar), Tiffani Thiessen (Here We Go Again: Recipes and Inspiration to Level Up Your Leftovers) and Timothy Hollingsworth (Otium).
