Prosperity Market Hosts 3rd Annual Black Business Scavenger Hunt

In honor of Black Business Month, Prosperity Market, a roving farmers market spotlighting Black farmers, food producers, and chefs, is hosting a month-long Black Business Scavenger Hunt. For this year’s hunt, Prosperity Market founders Kara Still and Carmen Dianne have created an interactive map with 75+ Black businesses across food, fashion, wellness, and entertainment, encouraging participants to visit and support local shops, cafes, galleries, and more. People can text #BBSH23 to the number 323-417-0465 to participate, and earn points by texting the unique code for each business when they visit. The participants with the most points at the end of the month will win special prizes, which include Hollywood Bowl concert tickets to John Legend as well as Snoop Dogg & Friends, and other items that may include gift cards, services, merch, movie tickets, and food and beverages, to be revealed at Prosperity Market’s pop-up event on 8/27 at Hollywood Park. Let the games begin!

Sushi by Scratch Restaurants Pop-Up at Beverly Wilshire

Scratch Restaurants Group, the innovative Los Angeles-based, multiple Michelin-starred group from husband-and-wife chef team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee, announce the launch of a limited-time pop-up of its award-winning Sushi by Scratch Restaurants concept at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, beginning today. This pop-up of Sushi by Scratch Restaurants–who has locations in Encino in addition to Montecito (1 Michelin Star), Miami, Austin, Seattle, Chicago, and Montreal–follows the concept’s recent success with activations at both Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals in Indio. This Sunday, legendary rockstar and hall-of-famer Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick will make a special appearance at Rock & Brews in El Segundo to sign bottles of ROCK’N Vodka, mingle with fans, give out signed tin tackers to the first 25 guests and more! Rock & Brews first teamed up with Nielsen and the ROCK’N Vodka team in April 2023, when the trio co-created a limited-edition cocktail, the California Man. Thanks to high demand from guests (and to Nielsen’s loyal fanbase!), the cocktail has officially landed on-menu at all Rock & Brews 20+ locations nationwide.
