Beverly Hills’ celebrity-packed and vibrant dining hot spot TATEL Restaurant is taking strides to be the city’s best brunch. The new eatery has launched a new weekend menu with 17 new dishes, including 12 of its tastiest treasures, now offered in tapas-style tradition.
Founded in 2014 and backed by stellar partners Rafael Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Pau Gasol, TATEL is an internationally acclaimed lifestyle restaurant featuring Spanish cuisine, and daily live music shows in Madrid, Beverly Hills, Ibiza, Doha, and Riyadh, with upcoming openings for 2023 in Mexico City and Bahrain.
Israeli-born Chef Marva Desimone joined TATEL Beverly Hills in March 2023 and is thrilled with the new offering, which highlights the best of modern cuisine from the Mediterranean Ocean. “TATEL’s brunch menu is rich and flavorful, but also something light and fun to share together, as one would in Spain itself,” says Chef Marva. His new tapas & brunch menu features a varied selection of authentic hot and cold Spanish tapas (small bar snacks enjoyed at any time of the day) alongside a handful of quintessential American brunch dishes and trendy cocktails. Standout dishes include Andalusian Gazpacho, Ensaladilla Rusa (a potato salad with shrimp and tuna), Tortilla Espanola (a traditional Spanish Omelet), Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico, Croquetas de Maiz, Fried Cauliflower (delicious), TATEL Tuna Tartare (one of our favorites) and Gambas al Alijio (wild-caught shrimp with garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and guindilla peppers). Designed to be shared, these sophisticated bites allow diners the chance to take a gastronomic tour of the country while enjoying a beautiful Beverly Hills weekend brunch. For those craving an American-style meal, the menu rounds out with French Toast, Steak and Eggs, a Spinach and Mushroom Omelette, a Smoked Salmon Bagel, and Avocado Toast (I added smoked salmon, and it was perfection). Complement your brunch with cocktails, including sparkling wines, Aperol Spritzes, Espresso Martinis, Mimosas, Bellinis, and Mojitos. And the star of the cocktail program is the delicious Sangria served as a cocktail or in a pitcher for the table to share.
Taking advantage of LA’s beautiful climate, guests can enjoy ample open-air dining space on the enclosed patio, as well as in the street-facing terrace area. Those who opt to dine indoors are greeted with the warm, intimate atmosphere of the teal and magenta-infused room, richly decorated in art-decó style with plush red leather booths, a climbing wall of bougainvillea, an elegant L-shaped bar, and retro white and black checkered tiled floors. In addition, TATEL’s back patio is a garden oasis complete with hanging flowers and lush greenery.
