SALT, the signature restaurant at the Marina del Rey Hotel, invites you to celebrate the creators of some of the top spirits, wines, and brews with the Pacifica Hotels Meet Your Makers series. Each month, the Meet Your Makers series offers the food & drink connoisseurs (or those who just want a nice night out on the town!) the chance to enjoy delicious aperitifs and learn what it takes to create a world-renowned liqueur, wine, and beer. The inaugural event kicked off at the end of February with Russell’s Reserve Bourbon Dinner, a three-course seated dinner hosted by Russell’s Reserve Bourbon. Guests were treated to a tasty welcome cocktail before indulging in dinner paired with unique bourbons from the Russell’s Reserve selection – aged six to ten years. The first course was an Endive Salad featuring a Wild Turkey tasting. The second course was Red Wine Braised Short Rib with Russell’s Reserve Barrell. Dessert was a delightful Chocolate Crunch Mousse Cake paired with a tasting of Longbranch. We had a fabulous time dining and learning about the distillery process, and we even left with a take-home souvenir.
The next event in the Meet Your Makers Series takes place at the end of March in honor of Women’s History Month. Sipsong Spirits, the female-founded brand changing the spirit space, invites you to Let the Good Times Be(Gin). The evening consists of three cocktails featuring their Sipsong Indira Gin to accompany a selection of SALT’S small bites, like Spinach Spanakopita, Maui Shrimp Fritters, Vegetable Potstickers with Ponzu, Tomato Bruschetta, and Mini Beef Wellington. $91.59; 3/23, 7:00 pm
April’s event, Flights and Bites with Tooth & Nail Winery, welcomes guests to become an oenophile for the evening with tasty treats and pairings, featuring Paso Robles-based Tooth & Nail Wine Company.
