From the moment you step into Northridge Eats, you have arrived in Asia. To your left are floor-to-ceiling murals highlighting different Asian cities and their vibrant food scenes. You can almost hear food sizzling on the grills if you close your eyes. Your mouth begins to water. You can smell the food from the pictures; oh wait, that’s the intoxicating aroma of the restaurants at Northridge Eats. With so many options, what to choose? Can’t decide? No worries. This is the best part of this food hall. You can mix and match items from each eatery to satisfy your cravings. For sushi and sake lovers, the Akafuji Sushi menu is simple with a core offering of high-quality melt-on-your-tongue Nigiri Sushi, premium Hand Rolls, and signature Cut Rolls. Sit at a table or dine in at the sushi bar. Make sure to grab an ice-cold Sapporo or hot Sake to complete your meal. Comfort food bistro Maxwell Chicken Rice is inspired by the vibrant hawker centre food stands in Singapore. Highlights include the Hainan Chicken Rice, Garlic Noodles, the yummy Fried Chicken Leg, and delicious Soft Serve for dessert. Thailand is next, and Mee Dee Thai Kitchen’s home-style Thai food is out of this world. Prepare to sink your teeth into Curries, Pad Thai, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Ariel’s favorite, Mango Sticky Rice. And make sure to give a wink and ask for the super-secret Tom Yum Fries – yes, that’s crispy French Fries smothered in the same seasoning used for the Tom Yum soup you love so much. Last but certainly not least is the fast-casual restaurant concept Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza. Known for its decadent Japanese comfort food, Kotsu serves Rice Bowls, Gyoza Dumplings, and heavenly Ramen. Plant-based eaters, this is the perfect spot for you. Kotsu has a wide variety of vegan options. And trust me, the Creamy Vegan Ramen is to die for!
