Raiders of the Lost Ark at Hollywood Forever Cemetery

PLATFORM hosts Surf Market
This two-day outdoor pop-up marketplace and celebration of surf culture, features a curated selection of surf lifestyle brands, designers, and artists set up throughout PLATFORM. There will also be a panel, food trucks, and live music from rock band The Pesos. Waves for Water, a charity that provides communities around the world with clean water, will demonstrate its revolutionary water filtration system over the course of the weekend. Waves for Water will also collect donations for a raffle. The grand prize winner will receive a signed copy of High Tide, a stunning coffee table book by prolific outdoor photographer and surfer Chris Burkard. The second prize is the Surf Market Kit, including a Baggu Standard Bag, along with products from Playa and SEEA inside a Salt Surf tote. The panel includes leaders in the surf community. Moderated by Runyon Group’s new Creative Director Grace Lee, the panel will discuss the female surf revolution and the power of activism. Vintage surfboard collector Kristopher Tom will display his collection from the 1970s and 1980s in various PLATFORM shops. Art Beyond the Glass VII 
Art Beyond the Glass VII, L.A.’s premier cocktail culture festival, features 100 top bartenders making cocktails and showcasing their artistry, from painting and sculpture to photography, live music and more, all while raising funds for the Women’s Center for Creative Work and celebrating L.A.’s top women in the Industry! Hosted by Mia Mastroianni, ABTG VII is taking place at Los Globos, the nightclub  that opened as L.A.’s first American Legion hall in the 1930s. Art Beyond the Glass VII is honored to be raising funds for the Women’s Center for Creative Work, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Frogtown. Combining a co-workspace on the L.A. River, project incubation facilities, residency programs, a rapidly growing network of over 20,000 followers, and a full calendar of artistic and professional development programming, WCCW advocates for feminist-led creative businesses and projects in Los Angeles. Art Beyond the Glass (ABTG) showcases the artistic pursuits of bartenders outside of their bars. OFF THE 405: Outdoor Summer Concerts at The Getty
The Getty announces the 2018 line-up for Off the 405, the popular series that transforms the Museum into one of L.A.’s greatest places to see live music. Off the 405 pairs some of today’s most cutting-edge music with breathtaking views and spectacular architecture for an unparalleled outdoor concert experience. This Friday, check out Peaking Lights Family Band an electronic duo in a special expanded format featuring a group of 15 musicians and dancers, including drummer Onochie Chukwurah of Fela Kuti’s original band. Peaking Lights’ Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis have released five albums and many recordings that combine elements of dub, reggae, Krautrock, disco, and psychedelic pop. Ever Bar
Party like it’s 1919 at Ever Bar at the Kimpton Everly Hotel. The Hollywood cocktail haven has kept the Negroni Week fun going all month with its throwback music-themed “NOW…That’s What I Call A Negroni!” menu, culminating this weekend with a pre-prohibition themed party featuring a live big brass band and tons of flapper-themed fun. The event offers one last chance to try one of Ever Bar’s nine uniquely crafted Negronis named after musical hits of 1919, the year the Negroni was born, with chart toppers like the Till We Meet Again, made with Mullholland gin, dill-infused noilly prat, luxardo bitter blanco, and squid ink or the Mandy, with strawberry-infused beefeater, Campari, yuzu, lillet blanc, lemongrass and gose’. A portion of proceeds from the sales of the cocktails from the evening will benefit No Kid Hungry. Beach Cleanup: Santa Monica
