What Do You Ryde4?

From the moment I stepped foot on the rooftop for my cycling class at Ryde4, I was greeted by the sunshine and beautiful view of Santa Monica. As the fresh air breathed life into my lungs, I scanned the roof and saw positive words and phrases that were strategically placed around the studio.

Every ryder is given a heart rate monitor to track their results. According to Ryde4, “heart rate training gives you the best results and the most out of your ride.” As the music kicks in and you start moving the pedals, you are guided thru 4 zones (Rev it Up, Cruising, Feel the Heat, and All You’ve Got) to get the most out of your training. Having the ability to look up and track my progress pushed me to move faster and increase my intensity. I don’t know what my favorite part of the class was? I loved being able to see my numbers on screen and celebrate when I surpassed a goal I had set in my head. I also loved the vibrant energy that emanated from our teacher. She spent half the class on the bike riding and sweating along with us. The other half of the class, she was off the bike, jumping around the room and going up to each member to cheer them on and challenge them to increase their speed or intensity. She never stopped moving and it encouraged me to keep going. By the end of the class, I felt like the King of the World.

To add a personal touch to your cycling experience, Ryde4 emails your workout summary allowing you to keep track of your progress. The goal is to increase your cardiovascular fitness level each class. I’m already planning my next ride and am looking forward to beating the numbers from last class.
