Hollywood Hotel Celebrates Dodgers’ 1st World Series in 30 Years with a ‘Grand Slam’ Overnight Package 
As Dodger Stadium welcomes its first World Series since 1988, the Hollywood Hotel invites you to root for your home teams in style with a new exclusive World Series Package. The package, specially designed for those with tickets to the World Series, will provide fans the VIP treatment for all games taking place at LA’s Dodger Stadium – including convenient overnight accommodations, a 2017 World Series ‘Swag Bag’ and Uber credit toward transportation to the game. Book the package via the Hollywood Hotel website. Enter to win the World Series Package on Hollywood Hotel’s Facebook pageInstagram and Twitter pages. The Hollywood Hotel World Series Package is available for booking on all nights on which a World Series game will be played at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The special package* includes: overnight accommodations at Hollywood Hotel (applicable for any room type); swag bag filled with exclusive 2017 World Series gear; and an Uber credit that can be used for transportation to and from stadium. Harbor House Celebrates the World Series
Go Dodgers!!! All pints hailing from LA proper will be $5 during the game and you can enjoy these at their indoor/outdoor bar as the game is played on their big screen TVs. Beers include The Golden Ale and Dark Ale from Iron Triangle on Industrial St, and the Pilsner from Angel City Brewing on Alameda. Pair them with their addictive Korean buffalo wings and Moroccan spiced brisket dip sliders. The games and specials will be available for all games in the series (except 10/28 & 10/29). Herringbone Santa Monica Hosts a Tribute to the James Beard House
In early October, founding Chef Brian Malarkey and the Herringbone culinary team brought the ocean, land and sea to one of the James Beard Foundation’s most notable events – A Beard House Dinner in New York City. In honor of this prestigious event, Herringbone Santa Monica will be hosting a special, one-night-only tribute dinner on with a menu featuring the five courses Chef Brian Malarkey and his team served at the New York City event. Each course will be accompanied by a perfect vintage varietal handpicked for each location. The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America’s food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone. Lucha VaVOOM
Los Angeles’ longest running, most celebrated action-packed variety show is back with their annual Halloween spectacular! Coming off their sold-out 15th anniversary shows in August, Lucha VaVOOM, where Mexican masked wrestling, burlesque and comedy collide, returns at The Mayan Theater. Billed as “The Smell Of Fear! In ODORAMA,” all fans in attendance for these shows will receive free souvenir scratch-n-sniff cards and are encouraged to attend in costume! This year’s Halloween celebration will feature Mexican-style lucha libre wrestling (including the high-flying Stuka Jr., hand-picked by Lucha VaVOOM from the professional Mexican wrestling promotions team CMLL; Lucha VaVOOM’s newly minted champion Li’l Cholo, evil doctors Medico Asesino and Dr. Maldad, Crazy Chickens, Cannibals, Matt Classic and Matt Classic Jr., sleazy Joey Ryan, Hairy Monsters and Dama Fina, Minis), aerial/burlesque/dance performances (from flying vampire bat Veronica Yune, zombie madness Kristina Nekyia, dancing doll Lux Lacroi, and ghostly L.A.
