The Venue Opens
Opening in Koreatown, The Venue is Los Angeles’ first subterranean, VIP karaoke experience and dining destination helmed by Executive Chef Kayson Chong. With a spacious dining room and bar plus 13 private karaoke rooms, that can accommodate anywhere from 2 – 50 guests, The Venue is the first concept of its kind to have both high-quality food and state-of-the art entertainment, open until 2am every day of the week. Devon Espinosa, previously of The Church Key, ink, and Pour Vous, is behind the cocktail program and Nina Raulo, from BLT Steak, is bringing you dessert offerings. Each of the private karaoke rooms will offer a shared plates menu, as well as the full dining room menu, along with a bar cart service giving you the chance to select one of the drinks crafted by Espinosa, along with the option for DIY bar cart bottle service. Additionally, those in the karaoke rooms can order alcohol-infused ice cream in a punch bowl form. Each of the rooms are designed differently, encompassing a variety of festive themes. This new Silver Lake cafe comes from Kristine de la Cruz (Crème Caramel LA) and Annie Choi (Found Coffee). Belle Belle’s Cue Opens
Serving BBQ in a casual setting, Owner Justin Mi is committed to serving authentic food, making all sauces, rubs, sides and pickles in-house. Taking inspiration from the BBQ greats of Texas, Belle Belle’s Cue has a menu comprising of pulled pork sandwiches topped with homemade coleslaw, and four types of wood fired meat served by the half-pound family style, including brisket, spare ribs, pulled pork, and turkey. Each meat is also offered in a meal served with two traditional sides of either baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, creamed corn, and mac & cheese. All BBQ is served with Belle Belle’s Cue’s pickles and BBQ sauces including Original BBQ, Honey BBQ, Habanero BBQ, Brisket BBQ, and Mustard BBQ, served Texas style on the side.
