Officine Brera Serves Lunch
The newly opened authentic, Northern Italian eatery within the Arts District of DTLA, is excited to debut a new lunch menu. Officine Brera’s new lunch menu features hearty and delicious Italian delicacies composed of pastas, risottos and various grilled, roasted and braised meats, rotating daily and seasonally. Cape Seafood and Provisions Opens
Chef Michael Cimarusti is opening this shop that sells fresh, seasonal, and sustainable seafood on Fairfax Avenue, in partnership with co-owners Crisi Echiverri, Donato Poto, and Craig & Amy Nickoloff. Cimarusti is renowned for his seafood-centric tasting menus at Providence, and his New England-inspired fare at Connie and Ted’s. You will be able to buy sustainable wild-caught whole fish, and custom filets, in addition to a variety of prepared items including house made stocks and sauces, and grab-and-go dishes like chowder and lobster rolls. The Curator LA Presents: ‘Marrakech Meets California’
Artists Rumi Neely and Isabella Huffington host an exclusive launch party for The Curator LA’s Spring Story, Marrakech Meets California. Amidst the spring installations, The West Hollywood gallery will be transformed into a beautiful Moroccan paradise with canapés, specialty cocktails, music and art. The Curator LA Concept store is where art meets fashion. They bring together a multi-brand retail and lifestyle experience with a calendar of installations. Their goal is to bring innovation, style, and intellect together to improve fashion and art. Wolvesmouth: Taxa
Wolvesmouth is a dinner series put on by chef Craig Thornton in the Arts District. Now, he has a new concept dinner, Wolvesmouth: Taxa. It’s take over a portion of the The Geffen Contemporary Museum of Contemporary Art in Little Tokyo with a series of nine-course dinners. The events are meant to be a multi-sensory experience, combining the existing installations at MoCA with Thornton’s own brand of highly stylized cooking and plating. Purchasing a ticket gets entry into the larger MoCA building, as well as the dinner. $225+; Thursday through July; The Geffen Contemporary (MoCA), 152 N Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012; 213.626.6222

DESIGNLAB
Celebrating its fifth year, Pacific Design Center’s national arts program designLAb, founded and overseen by art curator Helen Varola, supports Los Angeles’ dynamic artist community with its seasonal presentations, which span a variety of artistic disciplines. Highlights include Varola Gallery’s “Morphic Fields” installation by LA-based artist Anthony James and Cairo-born Bassmi Ibrahim’s ink wash paintings at Thomas Paul Fine Art. Special one-night only performances include: Industry Gallery immersive installation by Los Angeles artist Lacey Stoffer, Young Projectscelluloid film and 60 millimeter projections by Sandra Gibson and Luis Recorder and 4AM Gallery’s 8 Loves performance / photography collaboration by Treats!
