The Sawtelle, Fairfax, and DTLA locations are all celebrating the four-year anniversary by serving complimentary Birthday Cake Crullers to every visitor who steps through the restaurant’s doors on Monday. Tradition says that fourth anniversaries should be celebrated with flowers. As a nod to this, Plan Check’s Birthday Cake Crullers consist of birthday cake batter-donuts coated with pink icing and crystallized rose, hibiscus, fennel flower, and mint sprinkles for garnish. Maru‘s Happy Hour
Santa Monica’s newest go-to omakase/steakhouse from Chef Jason Park, is launching happy hour, with farmer’s market-to-table bites alongside ½ price cocktails from master mixologist Matthew Biancaniello, plus ½ price draft beer and $6 select wine by the glass. Dishes include: Lamb Tacos with syrah sauce, pico de gallo, and radish “tortilla”; Nachos with 3 cheese béchamel, marinated skirt steak pickled jalapeños, and pico de gallo; Pulled Pork Sandwich on a house made bun with cha shu, go chu jyang BBQ sauce, swiss cheese, marinated Bermuda onions, and chips; cocktails include the Ghost in the Garden made with pear cider, cherry tomatoes, shiso, lime, agave, and ghost pepper; the Morning Dill-Light mde with mocha-infused sake, pear, agave, dill, lime; and the Arugarita made with Dolin blanc vermouth, arugula, agave, lime. Wally’s Beverly Hills

Guest Room hosts Gin + Jazz
Guest Room, the hidden speakeasy above Estate Restaurant + Bar in Santa Monica will host Gin + Jazz –an evening of live music accompanied by cocktails featuring Martin Miller’s Gin. The Nu Movement Trio will provide live jazz to compliment the 1920s feel of Guest Room. Specialty cocktails featuring Martin Miller’s Gin will be available for just $8 during that time. Guests can also sip on drinks from Guest Room’s full cocktail menu, which offers unique and creative twists on classics, alongside a ‘select’ menu of specialty cocktails. LA has tons celebrity stylists, but you can’t forget the one woman who put it all on the map, Rachel Zoe. The stylist turned fashion designer is now giving fans a chance to experience the world of Zoe via a new pop-up retail experience. The temporary store will feature her label’s retro-inspired apparel, footwear, and jewelry, along some some styles that you can only get at this shop.
