Public School 310 Weekend Brunch

This is the type of class you always want to be in session. In the heart of Culver City, you will find Public School 310, (9411 Culver Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232; 310.558.0414) who is serving up a brunch full of hearty dishes, a hefty cocktail list, and an atmosphere that keeps the school theme without being kitchy.

First of all, beer drinkers, this is the spot you would be day dreaming of while sitting in detention. With a rotating list of draught beers, along with a “study group” of special releases, you can ask to taste any of them before you make your choice. If you’re more of a cocktail drinker, fear not, they serve up a large Bloody Mary that is a meal in itself with a fried chicken wing and pickled veggies. There’s also mimosas, wine, and a full cocktail list. It doesn’t stop there because they also have specials on the board. I ordered up (and continued to order up) the Clyde Ol’ Timer aka an Old Fashion. (Ok, it was brunch, but we Ubered).

Now, time to be educated…onto the food. We ordered up Speck & Eggs (Deviled Eggs) that came topped with crispy prosciutto. It was the perfect starter for all the drinking that was going down. We also tried the Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower, which is unique take on buffalo wings for you veggies and vegans. They were deep fried and delicious (I picked…on the wedding diet, after all). I then ordered up the Grilled Steak Salad with White Truffle Vinaigrette. It came with wild mushrooms, tomatoes, arugula, shaved fennel, toasted walnuts, and grana padano. It was a hefty salad that really fills you up. Tyler ordered up the Smothered Breakfast Burrito made with smashed browns, egg, chimichurri, provolone, and bacon. Next time I want to dive into dishes like White Bean Toast with togarashi, frisee, bacon, and egg and I know Tyler was eye balling the BBQ Bison Burger with whiskey bbq sauce, emmental, and a pepper bacon mushroom topping. Anything you choose, you will be satisfied and stuffed. This is one class I didn’t want to end.
