Dudley Market Opens
I am super stoked on Venice scoring a new market, wine bar and dining spot (all in one). It’s a small, bright, rustic spot with exposed beams, brick walls, finished cement floors, a white bar, and wooden chairs and tables you would find at your grandma’s place. The market side has shelves and shelves filled with books, kitchen items, picnic stuff, all perfect for the beach (how convenient). If you are looking to stick around for a while, grab a spot because the are serving up breakfast, brunch, and lunch (and of course a plethora of wines). 9 Dudley Ave., Venice, CA 90291; 424.744.8060

Globe Theatre Opens
This 102 year old DTLA spot has been restored and ready to open with dancing, drinking, and world-renowned DJ Julien Roussel in residency, fresh from Ibiza. Imagine a theater turned night club with gilded molding, Baroque sculptures, chandeliers, an original marble staircase, mosaic and a restored historic ticket booth, but still with modern touches like lighting, nightly performances, and acrobatics (of course). On the mezzanine, you will find table service, where you can watch all the craziness below. Friday; 740 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90014; 213.489.1667

The ceiling design is a modern take on a Palapa, and is paired with aged walls, Moorish lanterns, and rustic tiles. Outside, the restaurant has cozy cabanas and high top seating. Longtime fans of Red O will also recognize the signature tequila wall display, as well as a wine wall. Saturday; 1541 Ocean Ave., Suite 120, Santa Monica, CA 90401
