I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice cream…. And Pies! My mouth is watering as I think about the delicious sweet treats at Atticus Creamery and Pies (10893 W Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064; 310.474.7464). This bakery/ice cream parlor takes dessert to a whole new level with their assortment of flavors for both their pies and homemade ice cream.
The pies are perfectly sized for an individual or for friends to share. Classic flavors vary from Lemon Lavender, Salted Caramel, Coconut Banana and Early Grey. Their specialty pies consist of Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate, Strawberry Pistachio and Mango Pineapple. The cheesecake pies are offered in Oreo, Raspberry, Blueberry and my personal favorite – Blackberry!
Maybe pies aren’t your thing? Try the homemade ice cream. Atticus Creamery and Pies caters to the person who likes more traditional ice cream flavors such as: Double Cookies and Cream, Brownie a la Mode and York Peppermint, as well as the adventurer seeking a taste like no other. To give you an idea, a few of their more exotic flavors are: Sweet Corn, Salted Chocolate Bacon Pretzel Brittle, Potato Chip Chocolate and best seller, Honey Honeycomb. Each flavor tastes EXACLTY like the name. The one that stands out the most in my mind – Cereal and Milk. Yes, this is a real ice cream flavor! This unique treat is made with Frosted Flakes ice cream and Rice Krispy’s. For those who want to step up their ice cream game, order an ice cream sandwich. Choose your favorite flavor and sandwich it perfectly between two freshly baked homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Thank you Atticus Creamery and Pies for satisfying my sweet tooth and providing us with an alternative to the average bake shop.
