Summertime is here again and longer days mean longer nights! Dive into Warwick all summer long with their new summer cocktails and newly reimagined beach resort interior.
With nautical striped walls, beach umbrellas, sea grass rugs, cape style lanterns and all white furniture, Warwick’s transitioned with a summer coastal look. The nudes by Renoir, Picasso and Rembrandt that previously lined the walls have been replaced, with vintage prints of women on the beach. The upstairs loft hasoriginal photographs in a series called Women in Water commissioned from local artist Claire Mallett.
New summer uniforms complete Warwick’s transformation into a tropical paradise. Cocktail attendants are dressed in glamorous vintage-style swimsuits designed by Pinup Girl and male bartenders will sport Paige jeans with white button up shirts and anchor printed ties.
Inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s runway shows that have occurred in some of the most unexpected venues, Warwick will feature summer bikini fashion shows every Thursday evening through the end of August, which will include shows presented by Kristen Bradford, Executive Director of the Miss Malibu USA, Miss Beverly Hills USA and Miss Santa Monica USA pageants, Mary Grace Swim and Natalie Zena Beachwear.
The new summer menu includes eight delicious drinks that have been tested in the Warwick Workshop that is next door. Bran and Windsor are bringing Warwick the same farm-to-glass they have contributed to bars around the city, including North Hollywood’s Tiki No and the legendary Roger Room. For SS Warwick, the cocktails are what you would want to be drinking if you were in Malibu or on a Caribbean island. The Sub Rosa is a twist on the Mojito and replaces muddled mint with organic rose petals, along with fresh strawberry and watermelon. La Piña Colada Gigante is a take on the tropical classic shaken with fresh pineapple juice, house-made coconut cream, Caña Brava Rum and served in a hollowed-out frozen pineapple and big enough for two. Just order it fast: Only a limited number will be available each night. The Ja Mule has jalapeño, mint, fresh ginger and house-made vanilla syrup in a Moscow Mule, a classic vodka-and-ginger-beer favorite.
Other new refreshing summer cocktails include the Warwick Cup #3, a new take on the classic Pimm’s Cup made with fresh cherries, grapefruit and lemon; the Jun-Y-Pear, a gin-and-pear concoction; the Basil Melon Smash, made with tequila, cantaloupe juice and, of course, fresh basil; the Apple Jack, a mix of whiskey with green apple juice and lemon; and finally the Bubbly Blossoms, a combination of prosecco and orange-blossom liqueur, garnished with fresh lavender.
They are also rolling out the Warwick Ice Cream Cart, a vintage ice-cream cart serving complimentary Haagen-Dazs bars and miniature Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream cups all summer long. And if that isn’t enough, there is also the Warwick Candy Bar, where guests can indulge and relish in their favorite boardwalk style sweets.
