Gaji

Gaji, (523 W 7th Street, Los Angeles, CA) meaning tree branch in Korean, is a new, DTLA, Asian restaurant joining the likes of Mo-Chica, Sugarfish, and Bottega Louie. Owner, Linda Shin, designed the clean, industrial space that is an ode to nature. Inspired by Asian soul food, their modern, seasonal food highlights bright, clean, delicate flavors. An Asian fusion lunch menu includes seasonal bibimbap (mushroom medley, morning glory, seasonal veg, apple gochujang and soft egg); pork belly baguette (crispy pork belly, shishito sambal, carrot-daikon pickles, gochujang aioli, herbs and house pickles); turmeric-dill roasted salmon with summer noodles; ginger molasses chicken salad; turkey meatballs with rice vermicelli; and bulgogi melt.

Dinner has dishes like uni-topped steamed egg with smoked bonito broth or allium-roasted whole loup de mer. They are serving lunch now, while dinner gets the official go ahead in early July.
