Loews Hollywood Hotel (1755 N Highland Ave., Hollywood, 90028) has opened the H2 Kitchen & Bar. The new lobby bar is named after one of Los Angeles’ most famed intersections, Hollywood & Highland. As part of the $31 million renovation, this latest addition to Loews Hollywood Hotel is a centerpiece of the new contemporary lobby. The contemporary design of H2 Kitchen & Bar, includes a bar top of sleek slate gray granite accented by eggplant purple leather bar chairs. If you need to get some work done, pull up a chair, there are electrical outlets beneath the bar countertop, letting you plug-in and use their complimentary Wi-Fi. The bar also offers communal tables, providing more than 100 seats all wired for you to plug-in and unwind in the casually sophisticated new space.
The menu includes innovative small plates from Executive Chef Mark Ching, a list of local beers and wine and handcrafted cocktails from A-list mixologist Matt Biancaniello. Catch a game on the 120-inch big screen TV located on H2 Kitchen & Bar’s back wall and enjoy cocktails like the H² Martini,Mother Mary, and Blackberry Basil Mojito. A casual fare menu focusing on small bites, ranging from $8 – 13 features popular items like the signature Egg², Anti-oxidant Kale Salad, savory Pastrami Doughnuts, and Chile Spiced Shrimp Flatbread. Open daily, 11 am – 2 am.
