New urban development in North Hollywood, The Hesby is hosting well-known comedian and writer from Chelsea Lately, Julian McCollough, for a night of comedy. McCollough has performed on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (now “The Tonight Show”), “Chelsea Lately”, NPR’s “This American Life”, starred in his own half hour special on Comedy Central and is host of TBS’s “Very Funny News”. Other performers include writer/comedian Karen Kilgariff (former head writer for “Ellen”, “The Rosie Show” and actor on HBO’s “Mr. Show”); comedian/writer Ian Karmel (panelist on “Chelsea Lately”, guest star on “Portlandia” and voted 2011 Funnest Person in Portland); comedian/writer Emily Heller (guest star on “Conan” and named Comic to Watch by Variety and Comedy Central); and up-and-coming comedian/writer Gabe Delahaye. The night will also feature special guests!
