The Greyhound Bar & Grill (5570 N Figueroa St., Los Angeles, 90042), is a new Highland Park spot by James Bygrave (Father’s Office), Matt Glassman and Ryan Julio and opening on January 16. Ana Henton (Lukshon) is behind the design and Chef Gabriel Gordon’s (Beachwood BBQ) is behind the menu, which is elevated pub fare like fish & chips, burgers, and Schlitz Can Chicken. A must try are Gordon’s Greyhound Wings that come with a ton of sauces. You can get them sweet, spicy, or even tandoori. Also, check out their sizzling bacon, cured in-house with Laphroaig Islay scotch.
The Greyhound has a full bar, 20 taps full of craft beer (and some not craft). The short wine list focuses on Old World selections and they have simple cocktails like the Old Fashioned (Old Fitzgerald Bourbon or High West Double Rye, gomme syrup, bitters, atomized citrus oils) and Cool Runnings (Coruba Dark Rum, lime, Jamaica’s Finest Ginger Beer).
Open Monday-Wednesday, 4 pm-1 am, Thursday-Saturday, 4 pm-2 am and Sunday, 4 pm-midnight.
