Bye bye Ameci Pizza & Pasta. Hello Satdha, (2218 Lincoln Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405) a plant-based Thai restaurant from chef Gunn Pankum (Bulan). Vegans rejoice for her first solo project because she is serving up vegan Thai plates with a twist. Of course, ingredients are organic and non-GMO.

Feast on Meang Kham (coconut, shiitake bacon, lime, cashews, ginger wrapped in chard leaves with tamarind chutney); Beet-Dyed Noodles (coconut-flavored beet-dyed rice vermicelli with shallots, baked tofu, bean sprouts, “faux egg,” and fermented black beans); and Catfish Eggplant, which is what it sounds like…eggplant in the place of Catfish. Plus, this new spot won’t break the bank with all dishes $12 and under.

Later on, Satdha will have natural, organic, bio-dynamic beer and wine. Open Tuesday-Sunday, 11 am-3 pm for lunch and from 5-9:30 pm for dinner.
