Wine Riot
Los Angeles is the final stop on this six-city national tour. This year’s event has new events like the introductory “Wine 101” booth as well as the “Bubbly Bar” featuring sparkling wines. Learn all about wines and sweet vs. dry, young vs. aged, oaked vs. unoaked and old world vs. new world. Now in its 8th year, you can expect Frank Kozik and Sucklord among the artists included in this year’s event. There’s over 200 vendors on hand selling their wares. The restoration of Star Trek’s Enterprise-D Bridge is perfect for photo ops and the DKE “Graveyard” Toy Drive is a fundraiser for the LA Fire Department’s “Fire of Love” and features damaged action figures at great prices. Silver Lake Soirée
Spend the afternoon at Cliff’s Edge enjoying small bites by chef Vartan Abgaryan. There’s also a holiday cocktail demo, tastes of the latest Angel City brews with lead “beer dude” Mark Rodli, LaMill coffee and tea tasting, a sampling of Pazzo Gelato’s new seasonal favorites and more. The Ojai Art Festival and the Ojai Film Festival are partnering to hold an art show created from 75% trash, discarded objects and material to raise questions and ideas, aesthetic and moral, about the life of the planet our wasteful society threatens.
