BLVD 16 Restaurant & Lounge (10740 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90024) lives right next to Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar in Westwood and has a new kind of “happy hour.” For each cocktail sold on Tuesdays, LA-based distillery Greenbar plants a seed that will grow into a tree. The all-organic, carbon negative company has helped over 250,000 trees grow so far.
Cocktails include the Ginger Poppy with Tru gin, Grand Poppy Liqueur, fresh lime juice, Bundaberg Ginger Beer, and Bar Keep Bitters; the Pep in Your Step with TRU vodka, fresh lime juice, Fruitlab hibiscus liqueur, Abita Purple Haze, and Raspberry Wheat; and the Lavender Paloma with Ixa tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, and Bar Keep lavender bitters.Plus there are a few other cocktails on the bar’s regular menu that are also part of Trees on Tuesdays.
