Crane’s Downtown, (801 S Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90014; 213.239.0047) is the perfect spot to escape all the holiday madness and it’s opening tomorrow. You may remember Crane’s in Hollywood that shuttered. Well, now it’s reborn…just downtown. It’s a dark, red, neighborhood cocktail dive in the vault of a forgotten bank behind a huge door. Before you hit the vault, where you can drink Manhattans in red vinyl booths, you’ll walk down a long wood-paneled hall of red lights and art featuring bulldogs. If you keep walking, you’ll even find a even more intimate space called the Boot Nugget Room, with room for eight and zero speakers.
