Abstract artist and printmaker, Tom Lieber is exhibiting fourteen new paintings and six new monotypes at JF Chen through December 14th.
Lieber’s large-scale abstractions have attracted viewers with their fluid marks in bold, natural colors against layered, neutral backgrounds. He says it’s “An externalization on canvas of his interior life.” The newer works come off as more painterly and explicit with a powerful, physical approach, utilizing fewer brushstrokes.
