Mendocino Farms Opens in Sherman Oaks

Mendocino Farms, Los Angeles’ sandwich shop, opens their first first San Fernando Valley location this Thursday. The new spot will have their menu full of farm-fresh sandwiches, salads, seasonal sides and soups.

Designed by Eddie Bitton of Bitton Design Group, the 3,000 square foot space will feature natural elements like the 25-foot tall tree breaking through the restaurant’s ceiling, turf-covered benches, brasserie chalk-art, an open kitchen, and the largest Mendocino Farms kids’ corner with a communal table and chalkboard walls.

The menu, includes new seasonal sandwiches like Mendo’s Turkey Meatball Hoagie with house made turkey meatballs in marinara, chimichurri, Drake Farms’ marinated goat cheese, and shredded romaine on Drago Bakery’s soft roll; Carved Steak Pretzel Melt with smoked gouda fondue, red wine onions, roasted tomatoes, and spicy giardiniera; and the Southwest Chicken Salad topped with spice-rubbed, free-range chicken, marinated black beans, roasted red peppers, red onions, avocado, grape tomatoes, house-baked whole wheat tortilla crisps, Scarborough Farms’ mixed greens, butter and romaine lettuces with “ranchy” dressing. Mendocino Farms Sherman Oaks will also feature an updated craft beer and wine list beginning in early November.

To celebrate this opening, the restaurant will host their largest Family Fun Day on October 26. The afternoon event will have kid-friendly activities, a photobooth, and arts & crafts station to make custom painted photo-frames. Plus, kids will eat free with the purchase of a sandwich or salad.

Grand Opening Thursday, October 10, 11 am-9 pm; 14141 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91423; 818.205.9744
