Venice’s Larry’s (24 Windward Ave., Venice, CA 90291; 310.399.2700) celebrates artist, Larry Bell, the pioneer of the California minimalist movement. It was Bell’s work and dedication to the Venice community that inspired Larry’s, which became known for its food, global wine selection and 26 draft beers. Get excited, because they have now acquired their new liquor license, which means the launch of a full bar and nine fabulous new cocktail creations crafted by Jennifer Lane Oakley of Waterloo & City and Black Market in Studio City!

It’s seasoned with homemade BBQ sauce, so it’s almost like a Sloppy Joe with bacon, tomatoes and fresh lettuce. Other nibbles include the Crispy Cauliflower with Thai chili sauce, burrata cheese and basil; Deviled Duck Eggs with duck salami and pickle ginger; the Chargrilled Chicken Liver and Bacon Skewers with Yakitori sauce; and Shrimp and Lobster Tacos with green curry aioli, tomato and basil salad.
