“I’m With You – The Artwork of Hannah Hooper from Grouplove”

Chipotle Mexican Grill presents “I’m With You – The Artwork of Hannah Hooper from Grouplove, a three-day art installation opening Tuesday, September 17 that features original paintings, album art, and other artwork by the indie-pop band’s frontwoman. As part of the show, which coincides with the much-anticipated release of Grouplove’s second full-length album “SPREADING RUMOURS” (available September 17 via Canvasback Music/Atlantic), Hooper has produced a special limited edition poster to benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to creating a more sustainable and healthful food supply and to raising awareness concerning food issues.

Before forming Grouplove, singer/songwriter/keyboardist Hannah Hooper was already an established visual artist. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Parsons School of Design, Hooper got her hands dirty in NYC’s Lower East Side art scene during the 2000’s. Her artwork deals with an array of subject matter including tragic pop culture figures, claustrophobic beach/crowd scenes and strange figures distorted through bodies of water. As a member of Grouplove, Hannah has taken on the role of art director for the chart-topping band, and her work can be seen on their visual material, including tour posters, merchandise, stage sets, and cover art, most notably for their breakthrough debut full length, “NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG” and forthcoming second album “SPREADING RUMOURS”.
