With its polished concrete walls, exposed wood columns, epoxied tabletops/bar tops, Ryan Turner and David Poffenberger of architectural firm Raveled Studio created a unique space. Chef Oz Ramuco (Dar Maghreb, Caffe Opera and Bistro, The Roosevelt Hotel) is in the kitchen and serving up New American cuisine. Ramuco and his team focus on creating contemporary comfort food. Dishes include the Pickled Beet Salad with red and golden beets, red onions, goat cheese, fresh basil, candied walnuts and extra virgin olive oil; sandwiches, including the spicy Sriracha Chicken Sandwich; the Short Rib Sandwich with alfalfa sprouts, pickled red onions, eggplant caviar, served on ciabatta; and small bites like Beer Battered Beans; Black Mussels with Spanish Chorizo and Saffron Broth; and Braised Pig with sweet, tangy and ciabiatta bread on the side.
There’s a selection of Pizza Pies that range from sweet to savory, starting with the Grilled Pear with roasted fennel, basil, mint pesto and Gorgonzola dolce; the Wild Mushroom and Fennel Sausage; and the Scottish Salmon. As for larger plates, there’s house made Osso Bucco Ravioli with Parmesan broth, baby heirloom tomatoes, broccolini and Parmesan cheese and the Lamb Chops with celery root mashed potatoes and fresh mint jus. Drinks come from Far Bar’s Adam Acuff (Sonora Café, Blue Palms Brew House, Far Bar) and include 12 beers on tap, martinis, speciality cocktails, wine, and alcoholic coffee drinks made with Demitasse beans. Open Monday-Thursday, 11 am to midnight, and Friday & Saturday, 11 am-1 am. Brunch takes starts this Saturday and Sunday.
