Urban Outfitters (3806 Cross Creek Rd., Malibu) has now made an old cable company’s former 10,075-square-foot warehouse its first store location in Malibu.
Malibu Country Mart’s surf neighborhood can be seen through out the store with vintage apparel, old rugs, retro pottery from the Rose Bowl, sage, petrified wood, terrariums and plants scattered throughout. Plus, all of the store’s décor is for sale.
Here, they are also selling Etsy vendors in addition to their normal labels. In addition to shopping, check out the photo booth, a Coolhaus ice cream cart, and a record shop. Looking to be more than just a store, the space also has a courtyard with free WiFi, a hammock, bonfire, seating and a Converse pop-up tent. There’s also a large wall for projecting movies during their upcoming festivities, including Friday’s Sunshine Daydream screening and next Saturday’s (August 24th) “Live in the Lot” party from 12-5 pm with performances by LA bands Bleached and Dum Dum Girls.
Opening Monday-Saturday, 10 am-9 pm and Sunday from 11 am-7 pm.
