Terroni

Terroni (810 S Spring St., Los Angeles, 90015) has officially opened Downtown. The 6,000 square foot two-floor building was originally a City National Bank and build in 1924. It now has been transformed with a burgundy red leather ceiling, a hanging sculpture designed after the Autodromo Nazionale Monza (where the Formula One Italian Grand Prix happens), an open kitchen, a DJ booth, and a chandelier from Bologna, Italy.

Upstairs on the restaurant’s second floor there another private dining area and a glassed-in wine room. In a few months, there will be a high-end wine bar and retail shop. It’s going to serve Terroni’s menu with European wines and will connect to the restaurant.

The Downtown’s menu is pretty similar to the one at the Beverly Boulevard location, but here you can get oysters. The Downtown one also has a new bar program, with a focus on new classics for specialty cocktails. The bar will also serve until 2 am, Thursday through Saturday.

Terroni Downtown will also have brunch this Saturday and Sunday at 10 am. The Beverly Boulevard location will follow suit in about two weeks. Brunch means Pan Dolce (Scandinavian pancakes with Nutella and jam), and Spaghetti alla Carbonara (spaghetti with egg yolk, cream, pepper, guanciale, and Parmesan).

Open 11 am for lunch and dinner.
