What better place to open than Los Angeles, Skynny Kitchen (5166 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, 91601), has popped up in the NoHo Arts District. Owner Matt Flinn, formerly a private chef, is serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner with all plates under 500 calories.
For breakfast there’s sandwiches like the turkey, sausage breakfast sandwich and a frittata with spinach, tempeh bacon, tomato, onion and Parmesan cheese. There are salads like the grilled bison sirloin steak salad with apples, walnuts, a Parmesan Crisp & creamy apple cider vinaigrette. Sandwiches and wraps include Skynny phat burger (1/2 lb turkey burger with American cheese and seasoned ketchup); turkey meatball wrap served in a whole wheat wrap with Pomodoro sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese; plus sliders like vegetarian black bean sliders served on King’s Hawaiian rolls with low fat cheddar and green chili sauce. There’s also sides like Southwest succotash, Quinoa Stuffing, Garlic Kale, and turkey meatloaf drizzled with balsamic BBQ glaze. Whole menu here.
All food is reasonably priced and Skynny Kitchen is next headed to West Hollywood this fall.
