Red O Introduces Saturday Brunch

Previously only available on Sunday, Red O, (8155 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, 90046; 323.655.5009) the restaurant from award-winning Chef Rick Bayless, opens its doors for Saturday brunch from 10:30 am-3pm. To complement the regional Mexican dishes and handcrafted cocktails, you can now dine with the sounds of a live Mexican guitar player.

Alongside favorites like Chilaquiles al Guajillo and Huevos Montuleños, new items on the brunch menu include Budin del Dia with savory brioche bread pudding, jack cheese, and crispy onions; Picada de Carnitas con Chile Ahumado with tender pork carnitas, poached egg, black beans, shoestring salad, Oaxacan pasilla sauce, and cotija cheese; Smoked Salmon Sopes with quail egg, thick cream, and black beans; and an assortment of naturally baked Mexican breads and pastries. You can also opt for the Mexican omelet bar to create your own signature egg dish, with a choice of ingredients: chorizo, short rib, avocado, habanero, cotija anejo, and more.

Red O also offers a variety of specialty margaritas and cocktails, like the Roasted Bloody Mary and the Champagne Margarita, as well as a selection of aguas frescas and jugos naturales.
