Cognoscenti Coffee (6114 Washington Blvd., Culver City, 90232) is Yeekai Lim’s pop-up shop turned brick and mortar and it’s in Culver City’s Arts District, on the ground floor of star architect Clive Wilkenson’s brand new office building. The open, modern space has black and light hues, smooth concrete floors, custom millwork counters, and a geometric carving from the back wall. The open layout is an attempt to let you relax and enjoy some best coffee. It brings you closer to the baristas.
The menu is simple, but they have a huge variety of coffee. So, try something new with beans with different roasts and origins. Cognoscenti brings together some never-before-seen roasters to Los Angeles, like Redwood City’s Wrecking Ball and Calgary’s Phil & Sebastian. Plus, San Francisco’s Ritual Coffee and East Coast-based Counter Culture Coffee. Accompany your coffee with Proof Bakery pastries and croissants that they will also be serving up.
Hours of operation to run Monday-Saturday, from 8 am-5 pm. (and Sundays soon too).
