Gluten Free in Los Angeles

If you’re like me, sweet & salty is the best combo to munch on. Next time you have a hankering, go for the gluten-free route. With more and more people going gluten-free, Los Angeles’ restaurants now offer gluten-free options, markets are carrying gluten-free snacks and bakeries that are dedicated to gluten-free goodness are popping up daily! Here are some local gluten-free faves:

Fonuts
Fonuts serves up gluten-free donuts that are steamed or baked and never fried. I have watched people’s faces who don’t know they are gluten-free and it’s awesome. They are delicious. Try the lemon, chocolate coconut, banana chocolate chip and vanilla latte. 8104 W. 3rd St.

Beach Bum Foods (Multiple locations)
Beach Bum Foods are made right here in SoCal. And their debut dip, Love, Laughter, and Lentils, is delicious, satisfying and incredibly healthy. Try it with veggies, chips, or on a sandwich. Flavors include basil avocado, Spicy Avocado and Original Avocado. (35 calories a serving, 0 fat and 2 grams of fiber and protein). Hugo’s serves up tons of gluten-free dishes and just about every dish can be made to be gluten-free. Stop by for dinner or brunch, and your friends won’t believe it’s gluten-free.
