XEN Lounge (10628 Ventura Blvd Studio City, 91604) has been officially open since September 9 in Studio City. Living across the street from NBC-Universal, XEN has a new American menu full of both small and large plates by former Firefly cook Neil Shuman.
The elegant, modern space has 4 distinct areas: the main lounge is silver-studded, with oversized silver-clad thrones and plush velvet cushions, crystal chandeliers, communal table and the main bar. The VIP dining room features a large mahogany table and polka-dot walls with a number of golden hand-sculptures protruding out from it.
There are two outdoor patios spaces that wrap around: one has oversized couches for lounging around fireplaces and is surrounded by vibrant red illuminated umbrellas hanging from the trees. The other side has lots of space for a party (with a second bar to come) as well as corner cabanas for table service. There is also a spiral staircase the leads up to a rooftop patio!
Open daily 6 pm-2 am.
