Opening its doors tomorrow, the Dailey Method Venice (1327 ½ B Abbot Kinney Blvd.) will provide you with an effective low-impact workout that will sculpt, strengthen and align your body just in time for summer.
Founded in 2000 by Jill Dailey McIntosh, The Dailey Method was the first barre class on the West Coast and the only barre class founded by an instructor with a degree in kinesiology. The hour class strengthens, tones and lengthens using a unique combination of ballet barre work, core conditioning, muscle strengthening, yoga and orthopedic exercises that will reshape your body.
The renovated space maintains its bohemian charm with vaulted ceilings, skylights and beam work. The studio includes a large exercise room with cork floors that can accommodate up to 28 people, the only barre studio to provide a child care room, lockers and a small retail shop, where you can purchase gear selected by the studio’s co-owners Tenaya Cardoso and Michelle Lazarus with a focus on LA designers. Brands include OmGirl, Beyond Yoga, Rese, Body Language, bkr water bottles and handmade Brazilian bikinis.
The Dailey Method Venice will be offering free class this weekend (June 9th and 10th), as well as hosting an open house celebration on Saturday, June 9th from 5pm – 8pm. For this weekend only, you can purchase an introductory special of 6 weeks of unlimited classes for $100 (regularly 30 days for $100) or 5 classes for $60(regularly $100). Both specials can be purchased online here.
