Red O (8155 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, 90046; 323.655.5009) is introducing a reoccurring Social Hour beginning May 23rd with food and drink specials from 4-6 pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Available in their tequila lounge and outdoor patio, the menu has a selection of dishes from Chef Rick Bayless’ Cali-inspired Mexican menu, including Oysters ($2 each) with Tomatillo-Habanero Mioneta, Smoky Chipotle-Garlic Salsa, and Fresh-Cut Limes; Classic Guacamole ($6) freshly made with Sundried Tomato and Onion and served with warm chips and salsa; the Street Food Trio ($12) with Smoked Chicken Taquitos, Mexico City-Style Corn Masa Quesadillas, and Plantain Sopes; Tostada Trio ($12), with sashimi-style Alaskan Salmon Tostada, Heirloom Tomato Escabeche, and grilled Mazatlan Blue Shrimp and Jicama “Taco”; and more.
Red O will also serve a variety of specialty margaritas and cocktails for $8, like the Topolo Margarita and the Alacran Margarita, as well as a selection of wines for $7 and craft beers for $5.
