Eat.Drink.Americano, (923 E 3rd St., Los Angeles, 90012) is a new industrial rustic spot with exposed brick, an unfinished ceiling, a huge chalkboard wall and communal wooden tables. This gastropub opens today with co-owner Michael Burke and consulting chef Juan Pablo Torre. Torre serves a menu of modern American pub fare which is all locally sourced. Munch on charcuterie and cheese; an oxtail burger (which was probably the best burger I have had in 3 years); steak tartare with mustard ice cream; a light ceviche; Black Cod Tempura & Classic Tomato Sauce; King Crab Cannelloni & Cauliflower Foam; and cocas, a savory Catalonian pastry topped with salmon, cream cheese, and a poached egg. Wash it all down with eight beers on draft, six in bottle, two wines on tap and six bottle wines. Menu here.
