Brick + Mortar (2435 Main St., Santa Monica, 90405; 310.450.3434) is the Santa Monica newbie and they are not messing around. With a great happy hour, craft beer and an amazing menu, this neighborhood gastropub will be serving up bottomless brunches in no time.
This airy, patio, spot is decorated with dark lighting, brick, a large wine collection and leather tufted booths. Chow down on a pizza topped with short rib, blue cheese and arugula, New York steak, Braised Pork Belly and a cheeseburger the staff raves about. My friend and I split the NY Steak and the Braised Pork Belly. I have never seen a NY Steak prepared their way and my friend said it was the best meal he had in 2 years. I would agree.
This modern gastropub has a lounge-y, relaxed vibe going on with great food to match. Weekends also include pizza…with eggs and bacon on them. Plus bottomless mimosas and a DIY Bloody Mary bar. This spot is going to be everyone’s favorite. It got packed while we were there, so head over and take advantage of their happy hour in their airy bar or outdoor patio.
