Best Book Shops in Los Angeles

Even though I am always running around town to blog events, happy hours or meeting up with friends, I am a huge book worm. One of my top favorite things is laying in bed and reading for hours. I always have a book in my purse too. Well, my fellow book worms, here are some of the best spots in LA to curl up with a good one:

Book Soup
Book Soup is full of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. They often throw some great book swap events (I have gotten some good ones) and host well known authors for readings and book signings. 8818 West Sunset Blvd.; 310.659.3110

Counterpoint Books & Records
What some entertainment? Well you’re in the city for it and this spot is full of books, DVDs, CDs and VHS (say what?) You will be entertained for hours. 5911 ½ Franklin Ave.; 323.957.7965

The Last Bookstore
Clearly from the list of book shops, this isn’t the last bookstore around. They do have a huge array of books for you to rummage through at this downtown spot. 453 South Spring St., 213.488.0599

Taschen
This elegant 90210 bookstore is the perfect spot for who wants to read and possibly be seen. 354 North Beverly Dr., 310.274.4300
