Michael Voltaggio’s ink. (8360 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, 90069; 323.651.5866) is now taking online reservations for its September 21 debut. Voltaggio is no stranger to ink (and neither is most of Melrose, including yours truly). As for the restaurant, its pretty simple with neutral tones, dark wooden tables, minimal light and rustic beams. Start at the bar that seats 12 and get a pre dinner cocktail. When it comes to meal time you can chose the eight-seat omakase counter to the right, for a near-endless tasting menu, or a table in the main dining room for plates that are meant to be shared.
