Starting today, Public Kitchen & Bar at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (7000 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028, 323.769.8888) will begin weekend brunch service Saturdays & Sundays from 11:30 am-3 pm. Enjoy 3 courses plus your choice of champagne, bellini or mimosa for $35.
Brunch begins with homemade scones and strawberry preserves, then choose your first course (Balik Salmon “Tartine” with grilled olive bread and caper berries; Panzanella Salad with heirloom tomatoes and basil; and Squash Blossoms filled with hatch green chili and three cheeses). Next, choose your entrée or one of Public Kitchen & Bar’s signature Benedicts, followed by dessert. Entrée choices include Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with seasonal berries and Vermont maple syrup; Baked Eggs with creamed arugula and fontina cheese; Buckwheat Cardamom Waffle with butter and roasted apricots; and Soft Scrambled Eggs with applewood smoked bacon, crème fraiche and farmhouse cheddar. The Benedict menu features traditional Country Ham with poached eggs and hollandaise on an English muffin with parsley salad; Chorizo chili rojo sope with poached eggs and cilantro salsa; Duck Confit Hash with grilled rustic bread, topped with poached eggs and meyer lemon hollandaise; and Crab Cake Benedict with Pain de Mie topped with poached eggs, béarnaise, and an herb salad. Desserts include a Sour Cherry Pie with sour cream cherry ice cream; Salted Caramel and Chocolate Puddings with a butterscotch cookie; and Warm Berliners with cinnamon and nutmeg.
In addition to the prix fixed menus, you can enjoy “bottomless” Bellinis or Mimosas for an additional $6 or choose from a list of signature morning cocktails, such as a Bloody Maria, Spiced Cucumber Collins, or a Kentucky Brunch, each for $12.
