M Izakaya, (13573 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, 91423) has officially taken over Yoshi’s Shabu Shabu spot. It is the same owners as my beloved all-you-can-eat sushi spot, Midori Sushi. M Izakaya is quite different though from its sister restaurants. This darkly lit spot serves up small Japanese plates in addition to grilled and skewered robata selections and sushi. The sushi bar is brightly lit and black lacquered and seats about a dozen.
