Pez Cantina, (401 S Grand Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90071; 213.258.2280) opens today with a breezy atmosphere of earth tones accented by turquoise, a giant stone fountain on the vine lined patio, onyx tables, open kitchen and private room’s Guadalajara-made fish chandelier.
They are serving a menu full of snacks (botanas) including Watermelon, avocado, jicama, queso fresco, sorrel, amaranth crackers, cucumber-jalapeno coulis; Chilaquiles (rojo or verde); Adobo grilled chicken wings, cactus fries, chile puya aioli; and Yucatan pork taquitos.
They also have soup and salads like Crispy duck, endive, jicama, green apple, cress, cashews, crispy shallots, cilantro-lime dressing.
